Back over to Sheffield for another beautiful wedding at the Wood Lane Countryside Centre, always a treat to start the morning with the ladies from Jenn Edwards & Co! The bagpiper Aenea & Pete had hired to soundtrack their walk down the aisle had been given the wrong time, so appeared halfway through the ceremony and just went for it full blast, which had the whole room in stitches!
Scarborough Barn Wedding
The wedding with no ceremony that had me convinced I'd blacked out in the bog.
I knew Tasha and Stew were going for a super relaxed Scarborough barn wedding with their nearest and dearest having legally tied the knot the day before. However I still assumed they'd be having some sort of ceremony. Not these guys! They rocked up to Stepney Hill Farm, made a grand entrance, a couple of speeches were made then straight into the partying! Once I'd got over the panic and ascertained that I'd in fact not missed anything, capturing the festivities was a blast, the setting sun making for awesome photos streaming through the barn. The sun though, bloody hell, it was so hot that day I actually nearly died.
Over to Tasha & Stew:
How did you get here?
The love story began many moons ago. Me and Stew worked next door to each other, I worked in the vets and Stew in the motorbike shop next door. Romance blossomed after Stew throw a snowball to my face. We were together many years before the engagement happened. Stew had gone on a lads snowboarding holiday (I think to avoid the leap year) but I asked him to marry me via a Whatsapp picture message -how could he resist?! Stew then surprised me whilst out walking at sunset with my beautiful ring and the rest is history.
WHAT DID YOU WEAR?
HOW DID YOU STYLE THE BARN?
We wanted to show our personalities through the decor. We used an old bike wheel for our table plans, and had old cameras and books for the table decor. We wanted to use plants rather than flowers, so had cacti and succulents in beautiful copper lanterns for the table centre pieces. My mum made our beautiful table runners which looked fab alongside our cutlery finished with dried lavender. My brother is a welder and made our table numbers, which added to the rustic look. I brought a lot of things from home to add to the look of the barn, my beautiful start light, pictures and VW toy cars. My talented friend Marie at Dolly Harlot Bouquets made my amazing bouquet, we added broaches and badges that reflected my personality (Boxing gloves for my Muay Thai, film badges for my photography). I used this beautiful creation over our two days of celebrations and now I can always keep it.
“FROM THE MOMENT I SCROLLED THROUGH TIM’S WEBSITE I KNEW HE WAS THE PHOTOGRAPHER FOR US, WE LOVED HIS STYLE AND FELT IT WOULD REFLECT US PERFECTLY. WE FIRST SPOKE TO TIM VIA FACETIME AND INSTANTLY FELT LIKE WE HAD KNOWN HIM FOR YEARS.”
